About Jamie Parry
With 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, Jamie specializes in insurance risk management, placement, and consulting services for large and small businesses, especially in the healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and financial services sectors. In addition, Jamie has held senior management roles in sales, business development, strategic alliances, and marketing.
For the first 15 years his career, he worked for Sedgwick and then Meadowbrook Insurance Group, two of the largest insurance brokers in the United States.
Then in 2000, Jamie established the Detroit office for Summit Global Partners, Inc. (SGP), a large independent agency headquartered in Dallas, Texas. At SGP, he was involved in all facets of office establishment: administration, insurance carrier negotiations, and, most importantly, business development.
Known as a practice leader in SGP's Healthcare and Technology divisions (national/local levels) with insurance carriers. Jamie also developed robust affinity programs for physician organizations, the United States Postal Lessors Association, and an exclusive employment practices liability (EPL) program for 1000+members of a human resources consulting group.
In 2005 when SGP was sold to USI, Jamie established Summit Risk Management of Michigan and New Jersey. In 2006, Summit Risk Management joined forces with Mason-McBride, an independent agency established in 1916.
Various groups and clients have asked Jamie to speak on trending topics such as Cyber Security, Cyber Liability Insurance and its effects on Business, and No-Fault Auto Reform in Michigan.
Jamie enjoys golfing, mountain biking, and hitting the gym in his spare time. He also loves watching his two boys play lacrosse!
