With a Bachelor of Science in Insurance from Ferris State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Law School, Mike leverages his education and experience to provide exceptional industry insights.
Additionally, Mike is a devoted member of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America association and serves on its executive committee. He supplies members with the necessary assets and advocacy to ensure top-notch business practices and customer service.
In his personal time, Mike enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and hiking.
Mike's extensive knowledge and commitment to independent agents make him a valuable asset to the team and a trusted advisor to his clients.
Scott McBride

Scott is an accomplished professional in the insurance industry, with over 35 years of service at Mason-McBride. As the Chief Operating Officer, he oversees all production and operations at the company.
Scott began his career after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Insurance from Ferris State University. He has since obtained several industry certifications and licenses, including those of an insurance counselor and an excess and surplus lines producer.
As a director for the Michigan Big I, Scott actively supports the independent agent community by providing leadership and guidance to the industry, giving back through charitable efforts, and investing in Michigan's future by promoting career opportunities for young agents.
Scott's extensive experience and dedication to the insurance industry make him a valuable asset and a respected member of the broader insurance community.
Amy Purcilly

Amy Purcilly brings over 35 years of experience to her role as Senior Vice President at Mason-McBride. Her extensive expertise in client acquisition and retention for life and health benefits has been pivotal to the agency's growth and success.
Amy's approach is grounded in honesty, fairness, and a commitment to educating each client so they can make the best decision for their unique situation. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an Associate of Applied Science in Insurance from Ferris State University. Amy holds designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC), and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) for both Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance.
Amy was the first female and youngest president of the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents. She served as Past President and founding member of the MI Future Foundation, and as Treasurer and President for the Metro Detroit Association of Health Underwriters (MDAHU).
When not working, Amy enjoys an active lifestyle including golf, skiing, and other outdoor pursuits.

For over 20 years, Leslie Bartz has been a key contributor to Mason-McBride's success. As Controller, her sharp financial acumen and dedication to operational excellence have contributed directly to the company's growth and client satisfaction.
Since joining the agency in 1997, Leslie's keen eye for detail and comprehensive understanding of financial management have enabled her to efficiently oversee the agency's office finances, information technology, and overall office operations.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. When not working, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband at their Northern Michigan cottage, embracing an adventurous spirit by riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. Leslie also has a passion for live music, particularly rock, and loves attending concerts across various genres.

A graduate of Olivet College, Andy holds numerous certifications, including Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist and an Authority on Workers' Comp. With over a decade of experience in client-centered roles in the financial and insurance sectors, Andy is committed to helping people and has a proven track record of success.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Andy is a dedicated community leader. He serves as a volunteer financial literacy instructor and Committee Chair for Junior Achievement and as a coach for men's and women's basketball. He is also an accomplished athlete and enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and biking in his spare time.

Jeff Jardine, Executive Producer at Mason-McBride, brings over two decades of industry experience to his role assisting clients in identifying and mitigating potential commercial risks.
Jeff's academic foundation in Insurance and Risk Management, coupled with his bachelor's degree, equips him with a solid understanding of the intricacies involved in safeguarding businesses from losses. His pursuit of the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) designations further demonstrates his commitment to continuous professional growth.
In his position at Mason-McBride, Jeff takes pride in providing straightforward guidance to business leaders throughout Michigan and nationwide. Jeff's approachable nature fosters strong relationships built on trust and transparency.
Away from the office, Jeff enjoys an active and healthy lifestyle. On the weekend, he can be found enjoying yoga, squash, or a round of golf.
Richard "Berk" Berkfield

Richard has been helping businesses and individuals make good decisions about their property and casualty insurance programs for 50 years.
Richard graduated from U of D Mercy's School of Business Administration and MBA Programs. Before entering the insurance business, Richard worked as a management consultant for Touche Ross & Co. After terms of employment with two local insurance agencies, he opened Berkfield & Co, Ltd in 1979. Berkfield & Co, Ltd specialized in commercial and personal insurance placement and account management and served over 2500 clients in Waterford and throughout Michigan. Berkfield & Co Ltd merged with Mason-McBride in August of 2022, just shy of 50 years after entering the insurance business.
Richard is a community leader who helped establish the Accounting Aid Society of Metro Detroit, which allows low-income citizens to file for tax returns. He also mentored elementary students at Cornerstone Schools in Detroit, grew and donated food to the Open Door Resource Center Food Pantry, and was active with the Blessings in a Backpack project at Waterford Schools. Additionally, Richard was asked to serve on the Oakland Community College Foundation Board of Directors, where he serves as the current Chairman.
Richard and his wife reside in Sylvan Lake, MI., and enjoy visiting with their three children and grandchildren whenever possible. Richard enjoys boating, golfing, and bocce ball in his spare time.
Lindsay Pavkovich

Lindsay Pavkovich's journey in the insurance industry began at her father's independent agency, where she evolved from answering phones to learning the full spectrum of the family business from the ground up. Her five decades of comprehensive knowledge span personal and commercial lines, including Property, Casualty, Workers' Compensation, Aviation, and Surety.
Holding a BA from Oakland University and having completed Parts I and II of the Institute's ARM program, Lindsay is also a recognized Certified Authority on Workers' Compensation.
In 2002, after her father's passing, Lindsay was elected President of the family agency. With the help of her relatives, also part of the agency, she expanded the business and earned the esteem of both industry peers and carriers.
An active leader in the field, she has served as President of Big "I" Michigan, advocating for independent agents and contributing to the growth of Michigan's insurance sector. Her leadership extends to chairing the St. Jude Mixed Insurance Invitational and serves as a Board member for the Greater Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and Independent Insurance Agents of Oakland County.
The year 2023 marked a pivotal moment as Lindsay embarked on a new journey with Mason-McBride, following the merger of her agency. This move rekindled her passion for working closely with a diverse range of clients in asset protection and risk management.
Outside of her professional life, Lindsay is deeply rooted in faith and family. She is actively involved in her church choir and finance council, and her greatest joy is found in time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Casey has held critical roles in the gymnastics industry, where she served as a leader in Marketing and IT for a well-known Michigan gymnastics club, and in the insurance industry, where she currently holds the position of Director of Marketing.
As a growth driver at Mason-McBride, Casey leverages data-driven decision-making, digital marketing, search engine optimization, and client-facing communications to support the company's goals.
In addition, Casey is dedicated to supporting her peers in the marketing and business communities, serving as a guest speaker on podcasts and contributing to various publications.
In her personal time, Casey is an adventure seeker at heart who enjoys traveling to new places, listening to live music, and taking her rescue dog, Romeo, on road trips.

Yolenda has been working in the insurance industry for more than 35 years and possesses a wealth of experience in commercial and personal lines. She is extremely passionate about her work and takes great care to provide customized service to her clients. Yolenda treats every client with equal importance, regardless of the size of their business, and uses her kind personality and acute attention to detail to ensure that all clients feel like they are part of her family.
Away from the office, Yolenda enjoys taking it easy and enjoying the simpler pleasures in life. On the weekend, she can be found unwinding with family or having a laugh with friends. Besides being active in her church, Yolenda also enjoys Michigan's changing seasons.

With over ten years of experience in customer service and licensed in Personal Lines and Property & Casualty insurance, Layne is passionate about translating complex insurance policies into clear language that empowers clients to make informed decisions about their coverage.
Her background as a collegiate lacrosse player and Michigan State graduate, where she majored in Kinesiology and minored in Health Promotion, reflects her belief in a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Outside of work, Layne is passionate about staying active and enjoying the outdoors. These days, you can find her playing softball, hiking, or snowboarding. She’s a big fan of attending live music events and loves spending time at Lake Michigan, soaking up the sun and swimming.

Brent Kilgore, a seasoned Commercial Risk Advisor at Mason-McBride, brings over three decades of experience in the insurance industry. His career began in the Claims Department of a captive agency, leading to a successful transition to an agent in 1994. Brent demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit and managed his own multi-line agency for 28 years. During this period, he earned numerous sales awards and consistently ranked as a top performer among agents in Michigan before moving to an independent agency.
With deep roots in Macomb and Lapeer counties, Brent has developed a keen specialization in commercial insurance, focusing on habitational sectors. At the heart of his work, Brent is driven by a passion for helping clients protect their most valued accomplishments and takes pride in being a reliable ally for clients during their challenging times.
Outside the office, Brent enjoys the simple pleasures of life – spending time with family, grilling, enjoying summer days by the pool, and, yes, even cutting grass! His love for Michigan is evident in his enthusiasm for outdoor activities, Lions football, and exploring the state's scenic beauty, especially the northern regions.

Licensed in Life, Health, Property, and Casualty within Michigan, and a Certified Personal Lines Coverage Specialist, Andrew's knowledge is complemented by his unwavering commitment to integrity, transparency, and accuracy. His expertise spans various industries including skilled nursing and home health care, as well as a variety of unique risks with a heavy focus on cyber coverage and workers' compensation.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Andrew is a well-rounded individual with a passion for music composition, writing, hiking, and competitive card games. Outside of work, Karly enjoys spending time with animals and hiking the trails of Northern Michigan. She also volunteers at local animal shelters, showing her passion for animal welfare. This dedication to helping others is a key part of what makes Karly a valued team member.

Megan is passionate about providing personalized services and helping clients navigate the complexities of insurance.
On the weekends, Megan is out in nature with her husband and three boys. Family is everything to Megan, and she loves nothing more than spending quality time with her loved ones. Megan enjoys golfing, karaoke, sipping California reds, and catching up with her four best friends, whom she has known for over 20 years.

Alex began his career in compliance and facilitated educational workshops on financial literacy. His passion for problem-solving drove his transition into the insurance industry. As a people person, Alex finds fulfillment in guiding clients through complex insurance matters, always seeking to "take a load off" others' shoulders.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys time with family. He is a self-proclaimed "wiener dog enthusiast" and avid Formula 1 and Detroit Red Wings fan who loves listening to throwback music and spending time outdoors.

She is constantly learning new ways to best serve her clients, including pursuing her CISR Certification to enhance her expertise further.
When not navigating insurance, Kaitlyn cherishes time with her growing family, volunteering in the community, and nurturing her passion for vegetable gardening. She dreams of one day having a larger property where she can have chickens and expand her garden!

Outside the office, travel is one of Emily's greatest passions. She has visited nine countries so far, with London, Positano, and Ephesus among her favorite destinations. At home, you'll find her spending time with Moose, her Woolly Husky, or curling up with a good book.

Throughout her career in employee benefits, Mary has held several positions, including Senior Account Manager, Benefits Manager, Health & Life Agent, and Assistant to the President. Her diverse experience has given her a deep understanding of client challenges and shaped her caring and thoughtful approach.
Outside the office, Mary has been an American Sign Language interpreter and volunteer translator for more than twenty years. She is an enthusiastic soccer mom and supports children's sports and activities. Mary enjoys cooking Southern breakfasts and loves to travel, often taking cruises with her husband, Dennis.

With a Bachelor of Science in Education, Sara is dedicated to improving the well-being of our clients by simplifying enrollment processes and providing prompt communication.
Having previously spent 12 years teaching science to grades 7-11 on the island of Saipan, she also gained valuable experience as an educator at Sea Life Michigan and various children's organizations, which laid a strong foundation for her seamless transition into the Group benefits environment.
Outside of work, Sara actively contributes to her community, volunteering as a teacher for an upper elementary girls' Sunday school class and participating in a handbell choir. She finds great joy in Michigan's vibrant multicultural atmosphere, and one of her passions is exploring the growing number of bubble tea places in the area!

Daphne holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, a Health and Life License, and a Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certificate. This unique combination of education and experience equips her with a comprehensive understanding of both the financial and human aspects of employee benefits.
Outside the office, Daphne is active in her church and enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether swimming on Michigan's beautiful lakes, golfing, or simply relaxing with a good book, she finds ways to recharge and brings fresh energy and enthusiasm to her work with clients.

Genet Medhane brings a compassionate spirit and strong problem-solving aptitude to her role as Office Coordinator at Mason-McBride. Armed with a degree in criminology and criminal justice from Indiana State University, she is dedicated to cultivating a positive and supportive environment for clients and colleagues.
Having previously lived in Washington and Indiana, Genet gained extensive experience working with elderly and disabled communities, social work, and tutoring young children. This background has instilled in her a deep sense of compassion and a drive to make a difference in the lives of others.
Genet is excited to call Michigan her new home and is eager to explore her new neighborhood of Sterling Heights and the nearby areas. She enjoys listening to gospel music, embarking on hiking adventures, and cooking soul food during her free time.
