The award was presented by Barbara Walker, President of Big I Michigan, who recognized McBride’s long-standing commitment to supporting independent agents and his ongoing impact on Michigan’s insurance community.
Leadership in Michigan Insurance Industry
With more than 35 years of experience in insurance and risk management, McBride has helped strengthen the independent agency system in Michigan through several leadership roles, including:
- Big I Michigan President (2016–2017) – Led initiatives to strengthen member services.
- Agents Assistance Corporation, Past Chairman – Supported Michigan independent agents.
- Chair, Big I Michigan CEO Search Committee – Led efforts to identify new leadership.
- MSI Chair (2018) – Focused on enhancing member services.
- Big I Michigan Finance Committee Member (2019–Present), Chair (2021–2024) – Helped guide financial planning and resource allocation.

McBride’s commitment to the Michigan insurance industry has earned him several honors, including:
